Lisa Falkenberg, Fred Goodall and I discussed three interesting topics this week on Houston Public Media‘s show Houston Matters, The Good, The Bad and The Ugly: Texas has taken the dramatic step of shielding the identities of providers of drugs used for carrying out death sentences; we discuss the ramifications and debate the efficacy of the death penalty itself. The Texas Legislature is considering legislation that will enshrine protections for hunting rights in the Texas Constitution; is this really necessary? Finally in the Heights neighborhood, a home is up for sale. The catch: as determined by homeowners, the winning bidder will be the buyer who offers the best written essay to win the house!
