The “Marijuana Policy in Houston and Beyond” forum was held at the Talento Bilingüe de Houston, and was hosted by the Houston Young Republicans, the Texas Federation of Hispanic Republicans, Republicans Against Marijuana Prohibition, the MLK Association of Texas, and the Downtown Houston Pachyderm Club.

The all-star panel for the discussion on the challenges and issues associated with marijuana decriminalization and deregulation included: Devon Anderson – Harris County District Attorney, Marc Levin – Director of Right on Crime at the Texas Public Policy Foundation, Gilbert Pena – State Rep. HD144, and Troy Nehls – Sheriff of Fort Bend County, and was moderated by local television journalist Ted Oberg. Chris Carmona and R.W. Bray served as emcees.
