Only in the age of Obama and the militant Left would a candidate as obviously criminally corrupt, incompetent and unqualified as Hillary Clinton be seriously considered for nomination by a political party to the highest office in the land.
Only in the age of Obama and the militant Left would a candidate as honorable, accomplished and qualified as former Texas Governor Rick Perry be forced to withdraw after failing to not only lose the nomination, but failing to gain any significant support or traction whatsoever by the broad electorate of a political party to the highest office in the land.
Only in the age of Obama and the militant Left would a candidate as viciously anti-capitalist, virulently socialist and woefully unqualified as Bernie Sanders be seriously considered for nomination by a political party to the highest office in the land.
Only in the age of Obama and the militant Left would a candidate as sober, accomplished and qualified as former Florida Governor Jeb Bush be slowly fading in the polls, on the verge of failing to not only lose the nomination, but falling from the status of front-runner to also-ran over a year before the election.
Only in the age of Obama and the militant Left could a candidate who has shifted, chameleon-like over 25 years on every single significant issue, flip-flopping with the polls, positioning himself to stand alongside those who control the purse-strings, always aligning himself with the party in power, switching allegiances and casting loyalty aside in pursuit of a higher bidder like Donald Trump be seriously considered for nomination by a political party to the highest office in the land.
This is what Obama and the militant Left have wrought. An environment in which some of the most serious, sober, qualified and honorable candidates for office are not only summarily rejected, but fail to gain any momentum. Not because of flaws or shortcomings that disqualify them, but because the nature of the contest has radically changed from a debate on the issues, policies and ideas that motivate the candidate and the party, to one focused on bombast, popularity, and rhetoric, all fueled by fear, anger and hatred.
An environment so radically polarized that finding middle ground not only becomes impossible, but undesirable by either side. An environment where victories are measured not by how many people were helped, or how much money was saved, but by how the polls shifted and how much more funding special interests received.
Those opposed to the radical, destructive and criminal Obama regime have become so afraid of his administration’s vindictiveness and heavy-handedness that they react instinctively in a negative way to anything – true or false – attributed to him. Those who support the regime blithely accept anything the Obama administration does, regardless of the lives they disrupt and destroy. We have literally become a nation divided along political lines, hating the opposing side, ready and willing to carry out their destruction.
Obama’s presidency has been one of the worst calamities ever to befall the Republic. Not only because of its massive, measurable, documented failures, but because of the hateful, divisive and toxic environment it has created. Political discourse is either completely one-sided (an echo chamber such as MSNBC or Fox News), or completely vitriol and rhetoric. There is no longer any actual conversation and debate on the issues.
Obama and the militant Left have broken politics, divided the nation and set America on a declining course. It is time to break with the past and start anew. It is time to fight back.
