Today, a conversation with Judge Mary Lou Keel who has presided over the Harris County 232nd District Court since 1995. Judge Keel is a candidate for the Republican nomination for Place 2 on the Texas Court of Criminal Appeals in the runoff election slated for May 24.

Judge Keel addresses the race, her qualifications, and judicial philosophy, as well as perceptions of her involvement in the case resulting in a Harris County Grand Jury’s indictment of Pro-Life activist, David Daleiden.

*NOTE: I contacted the other candidate in this race, Ray Wheless, numerous times, requesting an interview for the show. Sadly, he never committed to a time, and was largely uncommunicative.
