Let’s not mince words: Fidel Castro was a demon sent forth from hell to enslave and murder the people of Cuba. He was always a force of evil, without any redeeming qualities. And yet, even though he has finally been removed from existence, his legacy – in the shape of his brother, and the government they impose upon the Cuban people – of poverty, murder, oppression, enslavement, and a failed state, continues to be a stain not only on the globe, but on the conscience of America; one we should have wiped out long ago. Along with all those who treasure freedom and liberty, I celebrate with joy the death of a miserable tyrant, one whose death was long overdue, and find it fitting that he passes during the week of Thanksgiving, giving all of us yet one more thing for which to be grateful.
